New Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 unveiled at EICMA 2022

way2barak, Nov.8: It’s a welcome news for bike lovers. In a recent development, Royal Enfield has taken the wraps off its latest 650cc cruiser called the Super Meteor 650. The bike has been officially unveiled at EICMA 2022. The latest generation cruiser is a RE’s flagship bike and it is likely to sit above the Continental GT 650. The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is announced to be launched in India in the near future as the dealership training has been completed.

According to the company, the cruiser comes in two models – The Super Meteor 650 and Super Meteor 650 Tourer. While the former comes in five colours, the latter gets two paint schemes. The latter is equipped with a tall windscreen, a pillion backrest, panniers, larger footpegs and a touring handlebar. Powering the Super Meteor is the familiar 648cc, parallel-twin engine from the Interceptor and Continental GT. This unit has been tuned to produce 46.2 BHP @ 7,250 rpm and 52 Nm @ 5,650 rpm and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

The design of the fuel tank is the similar to what we have seen in other Royal Enfields. The tear drop shaped tank has 15.7 litres capacity. The standard version of the motorcycle is available in 5 colours. It will be available in Astral Black, Astral Blue, Astral Green, Interstellar Grey and Interstellar Green. There is a tourer variant of the motorcycle is available in Celestial Red and Celestial Blue colours. The Super Meteor is expected to be priced somewhere around Rs 3.5 lakh, ex-showroom to Rs 4 lakh, ex-showroom.
