New feature added in CoWIN: Personal details in vaccine certificate can now be corrected
June 9: Vikash Sheel, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW) in a tweet stated, “New citizen-friendly feature on CoWIN. Now correct the errors in the vaccination certificates if there are inadvertent errors.” This was a much needed feature in the CoWIN platform as many wanted to correct the errors which took place during registration.
In order to ensure that the Covid vaccination certificates of beneficiaries are error-free, a special feature “Raise an Issue” has been added to the CoWIN platform. Informing this, the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW) said that users shall have to visit www.cowin.gov.in and then click on “Raise an Issue” and then then follow instructions for required correction.
Users are at liberty to make corrections of name, year of birth and gender on their Covid vaccination certificates, in case, inadvertent errors creeps in. However, it was informed that users were allowed to edit the vaccination certificate only.
