Bollywood to Assam: Guwahati dressed up to host 65th Filmfare Awards on Saturday

February 14: It’s just a matter of few hours from now and Assam will be going to witness a galaxy of Bollywood stars at Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Guwahati. It’s the 65th edition of Filmfare Awards 2020. The stage is all set for the Hindi Film Industry to showcase their works of the year on 15 February.

The Filmfare Awards held every year and popular for providing the precise stage to the Bollywood stars to bring forth their talent in front of the silver screen. The Filmfare awards are all set to take the space in Guwahati where  the film stars will be applauded by the crowd of the extensive public and audience at at Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium.

The online booking for the 65th Filmfare Awards is on for public at Bookmyshow.com. According to the ATDC Chairman Jayanta Malla Baruah, tickets have been almost sold out. Majority of the tickets have been bought by the audience of northeast. Going by the online ticket portal ‘Bookmyshow’ tickets worth over Rs 30 crores have been sold out.

The starting range for the tickets grand event is Rs 1,000 and they go up to Rs three lakhs per ticket. The different categories of tickets are Rs 1000, Rs 2,500, Rs 5000, Rs 15,000, Rs 25,000, Rs 1 lakh, Rs 2 lakh, Rs 3 lakh.

The award will be hosted by Karan Johar and Vicky Kaushal. Further, the audience is supposed to take their seats by 5:30 PM and the show will begin at 6:00 PM on 15 February, 2020. The Filmfare awards show has been established by Times Group in the year of 1954 at Mumbai. Special arrangements have also been made for local media to interact with the starts.

Over the years, the Filmfare awards have evolved to be the country’s longest-running and most sought-after awards show. For the first time in six decades, Filmfare will host its annual gala awards ceremony outside Mumbai. This edition of Filmfare Awards is slated to be an exciting new chapter as the destination of Bollywood celebrities and entertainment meets the destination of the land of rising sun of our country.
