NCC tobe introduced as an elective subject in TDC, says Brig. Saxena during 73rd NCC day in Silchar

Nov. 28: The 73rd NCC day was celebrated today in GC college auditorium by the Silchar group HQ under the initiative of 3 Assam Bn NCC and 62 Assam Bn NCC Silchar. Brigadier Pramjit Saxena, Sena Medal, Group Commander of Silchar Group NCC took part in the celebration as the chief guest. In his address to the gathering of more than 300 cadets, the chief guest highlighted the importance of NCC in the nation building. He also urged upon the cadets to move forward with the spirit of dedication and discipline. Brig. Saxena said that from next academic session, Assam University, Silchar will introduce NCC as an elective subject for degree College as per the directives of UGC.

Commanding officers of 3 Assam Bn NCC and 62 Assam Bn NCC also took part in the event along with ANO, CTO of different colleges. The principal of GC College Dr Bibhash Deb also graced the occasion.

The cadets of 3 Assam Bn NCC and 62 Assam Bn NCC presented a good show of dance and songs. The culture of NE was highlighted with dance performance like dhamail, Manipuri, Naga and Bihu dance. The programme came to an end with NCC song and national anthem.
