NCC annual training camp held at Masimpur

Way2barak, July 28 : The 10 Days NCC Annual Training Camp 52 held at Masimpur Military Station concludes on 23rd July. With a strength of 350+ Cadets, the camp held various sessions for the stakeholders like Classes on Social Service and Community Development, Health and Hygiene by a Nursing Officer from 160 Military Hospital, POCSO Act and its provisions by Dr. Joyshree, Associate Professor from Social Work Department of Assam University; NEDFI, Financial Management and Investment on Mutual Funds by Dr. Soma Roy Choudhary, Associate Professor from Department of Commerce, Assam University; Dog Show by the Trained Dogs of 16 Army Dog Unit, Weapon Training, Map Reading, Cyber Security by Defence Security Force; Artillery and Gun Display with Arms and Equipments, Firing at the Masimpur Firing Range, Career and Scope for Girls in Army, CAPF, CISF, NDRF, Assam Rifles, Artillery taken by the Officers from the Respective Branches; Field Craft and Battle Craft; Leadership and Personality development; Disaster Management by NDRF.

Apart from these, Many Other Sports, Cultural and Literary Competitions were held among the Cadets which helped them to expose themselves to solo as well as team challenges and efforts. This camp boosted the Spirit of the Cadets and gave them a platform to gain numerous new experiences, knowledge and responsibilities.

On the final day, the closing address was put forward by Brigadier Arun Uniyal, the Group Commander of Silchar Group. He through his address strengthened the confidence of the Cadets and adviced them to make use of the opportunities which they are getting through their unit 62 Assam Girls Battalion NCC.

At the Evening there was prize distribution and closing ceremony which was graced by training officer Ajay Pathak and his wife and also Mrs. Sayeeda Muzammil, social worker and wife of Colonel Muzzamil Ahmed. They distributed the trophies among the winners, Interacted with them and enjoyed the cultural gala event presented by the cadets through an excellent blend of performances of various cultures and tribes of India.
