National Mathematics Day celebrated by Ramanujan Institute of Mathematics, Ramakrishna Nagar

way2barak, Dec 25 :The Ramanujan Institute of Mathematics, a prominent coaching institute of Ramakrishna Nagar, celebrated National Mathematics Day with zeal and enthusiasm on 22nd December 2023. The head of the institute, Suryanshu Nath, a distinguished mathematics teacher, marked the occasion by lighting the lamp and paying floral tribute to the portrait of the legendary Indian mathematician, Srinivasan Ramanujan.

As part of the celebrations, an “Interactive Mathematical Seminar” took place on December 23rd, with Subrata Roy, the treasurer of Assam Academy of Mathematics Cachar district, who graced the event as the Chief Guest. The seminar featured two esteemed keynote speakers from Silchar–Nirjhar Nath who is currently pursuing undergraduate Mathematics at Chennai Mathematical Institute, and Subhadip Roy at Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. Both the speakers, along with the Chief Guest, were felicitated by the institute.

The keynote speakers captivated the audience, shedding light on the intrinsic beauty of mathematical formulas, stressing on the significance of higher mathematics education, and discussing diverse career opportunities in the field of Mathematics. The seminar witnessed active participation from mathematics teachers and the students of maths enthusiasts from various schools and colleges from Ramakrishna Nagar.

Participants, including students, teachers, and parents, expressed their appreciation, noting the enriching experience gained from the seminar.

Suryangshu Nath, in his closing remarks, expressed thanks with gratitude and officially concluded the program by presenting ‘Certificate of Participation’ to all the students.
