Movement of light vehicles including 2-wheelers restricted in the district for another 24 hours: DC Cachar

May 20: In view of the ongoing Floods in Cachar, Deputy Commissioner cum Chairperson, District Disaster Management Authority, Keerthi Jalli has directed to restrict unnecessary plying of vehicles (two wheelers/ three wheelers/ four wheelers) which is causing much difficulty in rescue & relief operations in the district. This order shall be effective from 6.00 AM of 21 May, 2022 and will remain in force for next 24 hours. Keerthi Jalli DC cum Chairperson DDMA Cachar issued this order in pursuance of the powers conferred upon her under Section 30(2)(xi) & Section 34 (b) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005.

Further. those students who are appearing for the Medical PG Examinations are exempted from this direction & their exam will he held as per their schedule. This order comes into force with immediate effect.
