Moulina Bhattacharjee of Daffodils School Silchar bags 1st prize in state-level painting contest

Sept. 27: An online state-level painting competition was organised recently by the Department of Tourism, Government of Assam. In this competition, Moulina Bhattacharjee, a student of Class IX at Daffodils School, Silchar bagged the first prize in Group B category which included students from Class VIII & IX. The theme of the competition was ‘Heritage Monuments of Assam.’

Moulina painted a beautiful picture of the historic Rang Ghar in Sivasagar district of Assam. Moulina received the award for hr painting at the Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra on Monday during the state-level celebration of World Tourism Day, 2021.

She was honoured with a memento, gift hamper, certificate and a cash award of Rs.5000. The prize was handed over by the State Minister of Tourism, Sports & Youth Welfare, Cultural Affairs Bimal Borah.

Mriganka Hazarika from Gyan Vikas Academy and Probal Pratim Kalita from Maharishi Vidya Mandir in Tihu received the second and third prize respectively in the group B category.
