Modification in Puja SOP: Hotels, restaurants to be kept open till 10.30 PM in Assam

Oct. 22: Assam government on 13 October, 2020 notified that hotels and restaurants during the 3 days of Durga Puja should be shut at 9 PM. However, in partial modification of the SOP, Principal Secretary to the Govt of Assam, Health & Family Welfare Department in a notification issued on 22 October stated that the closing time of the restaurants has been extended till 10.30 PM.

The notification issued by Assam Government on 22 October stated, “In partial modification of COVID-19 Guidelines for organising Durga Pula 2020 issued vide Health and Family Welfare Departments notification No No HLA 301/ 2020/120 dated 12 October, 2020, the closing time for restaurants during Durga Pup 2020 will be 10 30 PM. Other contents of the notification remains the same.”
