Mizoram & Cachar Frontier BSF celebrates International Yoga Day
June 21: Seema Praharis of Mizoram & Cachar Frontier BSF observed the 7th International Yoga Day on Monday with great enthusiasm. The theme of this year’s International Yoga Day was ‘Yoga for well being’. The event was organized in all the field formations including Sectors, Battalions and BOPS located in far flung areas and Frontier HQ M&C Silchar campus also.
During the programme at BSF Campus Silchar, the trained Yoga instructors of BSF from Patanjali Yog Peeth conducted the Yoga session for an hour in the morning. The Yoga session included practicing Yogic asanas, pranayama and brief demonstration of their yogic skills. The Yoga session was attended by all BSF Officers, troops and the BSF BWWA members (ladies) of the Campus.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Dinesh Kumar Boora, Inspector General, BSF, Mizoram & Cachar Frontier exhorted regarding the benefits of Yoga for the holistic health of every Seema Praharis. He further stressed that due to Covid-19 pandemic, the whole world is suffering from mental health problems and the practice of Yoga will certainly help us in overcoming the mental stress while we are exposed to multifarious challenges during performing the duties day and night in far flung, remote / isolated border areas under tiring conditions.
Every year, BSF observes the International Yoga Day with zeal and enthusiasm upto Border out posts and practice of Yoga is carried out throughout the year as a part of its routine physical training.
