Miscreants fired bullets in Karimganj, investigation going on
December 29: An incident of firing was reported at Janglartuk village of Karimganj on the early hours of Saturday. The firing was opened on one Dilwar Hussain at his residence by a miscreant who had allegedly demanded Rs. 10 lakh from Mr. Hussain. Though none was injured in the firing, however, a tensed atmosphere is prevailing in and around Janglartuk village.
Dilwar Hussain has lodged a police complaint in this regard and the police are also investigating this incident. As per the FIR, two persons, namely, Islam Uddin and Kala had demanded an amount of Rs.10 lakh from him. He suspected these two persons to be involved in the incident of shooting.
Dilwar Hussain further stated that on Saturday morning, miscreants went to his house at Janglartuk village in Karimganj and started banging the door to open it. When Dilwar refused to open the door, the miscreants opened fire from outside. Three shots were fired, out of which one bullet pierced the door and the bullet landed in the bed of Mr. Hussain. Though he was safe, but he was scared a lot and informed the police.
Speaking to newsmen, police told that they have found 3 bullet shells from the house of the victim. Police has suspected that the two parties were into narcotics business and there was some monetary transactions between the them. A police inspector doing the investigation said, “We have identified the persons involved in the firing incident, but for the sake of investigation will not divulge the name at this moment. Investigation is on and very soon we will be able to solve this case.”
