To curb bribery, anti-corruption wing keeping keen watch on govt officials in Assam

March 1: As the financial year 2019-20 is coming to a close, multiple allegations are heard regarding demand of bribe made by government officials for clearance of bills. The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (V & AC) of Assam is also aware of all such acts of corruption going on in different state government offices. In order to curb corruption, the sleuths of the V & AC are keeping a close watch on all monetary transactions.

Additional Director General of Police, V & AC, AnuragTankha  urged upon the citizens to call on 0361-2462294, 0361-2462295, 9435019737, 18003453767 (toll free) and share information of demand for illegal gratification by public servants and also lodge complaints. The department is up and doing to carry on operations to nab the ‘Sarkari Babus’ who are involved in corrupt practices.
