Meeting of BJP’s National Executive Committee commences in Delhi
Nov. 7: The crucial National Executive meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party`s (BJP), which is expected to deliberate on the outcome of recent bypolls and chalk out a strategy for the upcoming assembly elections in five states, began in the national capital on Sunday. The meeting commenced at New Delhi’s NDMC Convention Centre on Sunday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the meeting and he was received by party President JP Nadda at the venue. Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Piyush Goyal and CM Yogi Adityanath were also present at the meeting.
Veteran BJP leaders LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi were attending the crucial meeting virtually while the party’s national president JP Nadda delivered the opening speech. The meeting was being held in a hybrid manner for the first time since the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic struck the country in March last year. The meeting is being attended by 124 party members of which some leaders are attending through video conferencing.
