Media should come out of colonial era anti-establishment mindset, says Prof. KG Suresh

July 9: The concept that media is always anti-establishment is a gift of the colonial era, we should come out of it and play our part in nation building. This was said by Prof. K.G. Suresh, Dean of UPES School of Modern Media and National Secretary of My Home, India on Thursday during a webinar. Prof. Suresh further said, “I may not be endorsing the ideology of the ruling party but the Prime Minister and the Government is mine, that should drive the news and not the personal agenda.”

MP Silchar Dr. Rajdeep Roy also participated in this webinar. Expressing his reaction, Dr. Roy said, “Pearls of wisdom coming out of Prof KG Suresh at the webinar. I am glad that a few journalists of repute and Mass Communication students from Barak Valley too participated. Hope the ethics of journalism in the valley improves and the quality too !”
