12 detected Covid +ve till 6 PM in Cachar on Saturday

Aug 28: A total of 12 new cases of COVID-19 was reported till 6 PM on Saturday in Cachar. The number of positive cases is expected to rise towards the night. During the day, 3,057 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done in which 10 persons were found positive, whereas 02 more were detected positive in RT-PCR test. It needs mention here that 23 persons were detected Covid-19 positive on Friday.

The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 27 August to 5 PM on 28 August) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Saturday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 28 August, there were 27 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patients were put under ventilator support and 15 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 08 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 05 of them were discharged.
