১৮ নভেম্বর: ম্যাসাজ পার্লার খুলে গ্রাহকদের সঙ্গে প্রতারণা করছিল শিলচরের এক দম্পতি৷ নগ্ন, অর্ধ নগ্ন ছবি তুলে সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় ছড়িয়ে দেওয়ার ভয় দেখিয়ে পুরুষ গ্রাহকদের কাছ থেকে মোটা অঙ্কের অর্থ আদায় করছিল এরা৷ কিন্তু এ বার এক গ্রাহককে ফাঁসাতে গিয়ে ফেঁসে গেল নিজেরাই৷ এজাহার ও নানা প্রমাণের ভিত্তিতে পুলিশ তাদের গ্রেফতার করে৷

ধৃতরা হল রজত দে ও সন্ধ্যা চৌধুরী৷ শিলচর শরৎপল্লীতে সন্ধ্যার বাবার বাড়ি৷ রজত মূলত হাফলঙের বাসিন্দা৷ কয়েক বছর ন্যাশনাল হাইওয়েতে এক ভাড়াবাড়িতে রয়েছে তারা৷ সেই বাড়িতেই খোলে তাদের বিতর্কিত ম্যাসাজ পার্লার৷ বুধবার পুলিশ তাদের আদালতে তুলে বিচারকের নির্দেশে সন্ধ্যাকে জেলে পাঠায় এবং রজতকে রিমান্ডে নিয়ে আসে৷ চলছে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ৷

Nov. 18: A couple from Silchar was involved in fraud with their customers by opening a massage parlour. They used to set a trap by clandestinely clicking nude, semi-naked photographs and videos of their customers who came for body massage. It was then that this couple would start their real action. They used to threaten the customers of making their photos and videos viral in social media and in turn used to demand huge money. In this way, this couple used to earn a lot by laying a trap.

However, things went wrong as one of the latest victims of the couple being caught on the wrong side of the honey trap lodged a complaint with Silchar Police. Acting upon the complaint and on the basis of various evidence, police jumped into action and arrested a couple. These 2 were identified as Rajat Dey and Sandhya Choudhury. Sandhya is a resident of Sarat Pally, Silchar. Rajat originally hails from Haflong. Their controversial massage parlour is at National Highway, Silchar. They were produced in the court on Wednesday. The judge has allowed police remand of the couple. The couple is being interrogated by the police so that more details can be unearthed.

As per available information, an employee of the office of Deputy Commissioner, Cachar who is son of a senior BJP leader of Silchar got to know about a massage parlour in New Silchar area and went there where a female employee provided him massage. After that started the real ordeal for that young man. He was informed that during the massage, the entire ‘objectionable episode’ of body massage was secretly captured. He was called and informed that the nude video clip would be posted and circulated in social media. Thus, started the scene of blackmailing that youth. He was told to pay an amount of Rs.10 lakh or else the “nude/semi-nude” video would be made viral. After much bargaining, the amount was settled at Rs.2 lakh.

It was then that the employee of Silchar DC Office took the help of the police. A trap was laid and when a man came to take the amount of Rs.2 lakh, he was caught red-handed by the police. The person arrested was identified as Rajat Dey (24). Police were then in look out of the female involved in the crime. Finally, they also arrested the female, identified as Sandhya Choudhury, wife of Rajat Dey.

As per sources, the DC Office employee is not the only victim of the couple. They used to lure many others in the name of body massage and after taking nude/semi-nude photos and videos, they used to blackmail them. Nude videos of some others were also found in their mobile. However, all these days, due to fear of their prestige, honour and getting exposed before their family, such incidents went of unreported.
