Career Nirman’ app launched in Hailakandi to help students plan their career

January 30: On the auspicious occasion of Saraswati Puja, a day where knowledge, language, music and arts is celebrated, a career counselling app by name ‘Career Nirman’ was formally launched in a function held at S.S. College Hailakandi on Wednesday. The app was launched by Keerthi Jalli, Deputy Commissioner of Hailakandi in presence of Ranadip Dam ADC(Education), DIO NIC Mansoor Akhtar Barbhuiyan, Inspector of Schools Rajiv Jha and others.

The app can be downloaded from Google playstore in any android phones. During the app release programme, Keerthi Jalli, DC Hailakandi said, “It is often seen that students feel there are no locally found options for further studies. Google shows private universities that have paid for ranking high in the search list. The app is designed with a special emphasis on Government Universities/Colleges based in and around North East for local solutions. Lesser explored options like tourism and media are also covered for students to plan their career in advance.”

Speaking on the other utilities of the ‘Career Nirman’ app, the Deputy Commissioner said, “A unique feature of the app is that it covers many skill training programs offered by National Skill Mission and Assam Skill Development Mission and others in and around the district. It has a maps feature that helps the student trace how far the training institute is to their home to plan better. The app is relevant for 8th pass and above students and dropouts as well.”
