Management of Biomed Silchar pays ₹1,29,999 to a kin of staff who died due to Covid

Dec. 9: A staff of Biomed Silchar breathed his last in 2020 after being infected with Covid-19. The management of Biomed Silchar informed that the family of the deceased (identified as Krishnendu Chakraborty) failed to get any financial relief from the government as his death was declared by the State Death Audit Board as “Non-Covid Death.” Finally, the Management of Biomed stood besides the family of their deceased staff.

On Thursday, Biomed Management handed over a cheque of ₹1,29,999 to the wife of the deceased Krishnendu Chakraborty. On receiving the cheque, the lady thanked the management for coming forward with the financial help at their hour of crisis. The Biomed Management further informed that apart from this one-time financial hep, they will also try to provide a job to the widow.
