Magistrates detailed PS wise to carry out road enforcement directives in Cachar

Dec. 31: Since the declaration of “no drink & drive” on the eve of new year by the Chief Minister, Assam Police has taken to the streets a day prior to 31 December and is busy in enforcing traffic rules. In Cachar district too, traffic police forces are on the streets to detect ‘drink & drive’ cases. Meanwhile, district administration has detailed Magistrates for maintaining law and order Police Station (PS) wise to carry out Road Enforcement directives at accident prone areas/ strategic points with effect from 30 December, 2021 to 1 January, 2022.

1. For areas under Silchar Police Station (excluding Silchar Town area) Borkhola & Dwarbond Police Station areas, Magistrate Kumar Gaurab Das, ACS, Circle Officer, Silchar has been entrusted the responsibility of the Magistrate. He will be assisted by Rajjyoti Borah, ALRS, BDO, Salchapra and Sudip Gogoi, ACS, BDO, Tapang Block.
2. Bikash Chetri, ALRS, Circle Officer (A), Sonai Revenue Circle has been given the charge as Magistrate for Sonai, Kochudaram and Dholai Police Station areas. He will be assisted by Hussain Mohd Mobin, ALRS, BDO and Arif Ahmed Choudhury, ALRS, BDO.
3. For Udharbond Police Station areas, Aditi Nunisa, ALRS, Circle officer i/c Udharbond has been appointed as Magistrate. She will be assisted by Jatra Kanta Karmakar, ALRS, BDO.

1. Jonathan Veiphai, ALRS, Circle Officer, Lakhipur was entrusted the task as Magistrate for Lakhipur, Jirighat and Joypur Police Station areas.He will be assisted by Mrinmoy Haloi, ALRS,BDO and Avinash Paul, ACS, BDO.
2. For areas under Katigorah Police Station, Kaveri Rongpipi, LRS, Circle Offcier, Katigorah was given the charge of Magistrate. She will be assisted by Antara Paul, ALRS, BDO.
3. Himashri Deka, ACS, Asstt Commissioner, Kishan Chorei Tripura, ACS, Asstt Commissioner and Biswajit Dutta, ACS, were appointed as Magistrate to look after Silchar town areas.
