Love for his hometown drives man to send help for the poor from Delhi through NCYS
June 16: Joydeep Samaddar from Silchar has been in the National Capital Territory of Delhi for more than a decade. He is now settled there along with his wife and a kid. But inspite of that, Joydeep Samaddar has not forgotten his roots. His heart often yearns for the people of his home town. During the ongoing pandemic, he came to know about the sufferings of many people who usually leaves from hand to mouth.
Joydeep Samaddar thought to do something in his own humble way for the people over here and what could be more better an occasion than to mark the birthday of his wife Soma Samaddar forever memorable by distributing food items among the disadvantaged lot on this day. He soon contacted Netaji Chatra Yuba Sangshta (NCYS), Silchar. They were ready to help him out by distributing food items on his behalf among 100 beneficiaries. Each packet contained Milk, Biscuits, Noodles, Soaps and other necessary items. Joydeep Samaddar is a successful businessman in Delhi and his wife Soma Samaddar is a teacher by profession.
On Monday, the members of NCYS went at Dayapur area of Arkatipur Tea Estate in Udharbond constituency, where they distributed food items and essential commodities. On behalf of Netaji Chatra Yuba Sangshta (NCYS), its General Secretary Dilu Das, Vice President Rajdeep Deb Roy, Organising Secretary Bappi Acharjee, Treasurer Nanigopal Deb, Publicity Secretary Dilip Kumar Singh, Journalist Paplu Das and member Dipankar Das was present. Further on behalf of the local panchayat, Kedar Goala and others were present.
