Loksabha poll completed peacefully in Silchar.

way2barak, April 26: Lok Sabha election was completed peacefully for Silchar (SC) parliamentary constituency. According to the guidelines of the Election Commission, votes were taken at various polling stations on scheduled time of polling from 7 am to 5 pm here on friday.

Voters were seen standing in long queues for casting their votes this morning. According to the latest report received on 10 pm on Friday, the voter turnout of Silchar parliamentary seat was 78.55 percent. The percentage voter turnout in Lakhipur Assembly Constituency was 75.97 percent. In Udharbond assembly constituency voter turnout was 77.53 percent . In Katigorah constituency the voter turnout was 82.50 percent. In Borkhola constituency the voter turnout was 78 percent.
In Silchar constituency voter turnout was 77.31 percent. In Sonai LAC the percentage was 77.92 percent.
In Dholai constituency the voter turnout was 80.63 percent.
It needs to mention that up to 9.30 am ,342 numbers of EVM have been deposited in strong room as per latest update.
However the voter turnout percentage may change.
