Lions Club Silchar Ananta felicitate eminent CA Ravi Patwa

March 31: Lions Club of Silchar Ananta organised a programme to felicitate Ravi Patwa for adorning the post of Chairman of Eastern Institute of Regional Council (EIRC) of Chartered Accountants of India. Ravi Patwa is the second Chartered Accountant (CA) in 73 years to reach this position from North East (first from Silchar). Club Vice President Paromita Pal, Secretary Kinkini Dey, Guiding Lion CA Anil Jain, Region Chairman (RC) Sabyasachi Rudra Gupta and other distinguished members of the club were present during the felicitation ceremony.

Ravi Patwa himself is a Lion member and has also won the title of Best Treasurer in LCSC in the year 1999- 2000. CA Ravi Patwa, the head partner of RKP Associates by profession, started his new journey from 2008-09 under the chairmanship of Gauhati branch, but the situation could not allow him to continue this journey at that time. But the spirit in mind and the desire to do something for the institute was always there, so after the break of ten years in 2018-19 , he again resumed the journey from Branch to Region. It was a tough road, but with his passion and love, he not only achieved the milestone, but also won a record first position with quota and then achieved a similar record victory in 2021-22.

Ravi Parva has been leading in various fields since his school and college days. He was instrumental in setting up the famous Jyoti Club in Barak Valley for debate and quiz competitions. He is also constantly associated with JITO and Swadeshi Jagran Manch Branch. He has been the President of the Institute of Internal Auditors, Kolkata branch in 2019-20. He held the positions of Treasurer, Secretary, Vice President etc. of EIRC. He has been the president of the Batgach National Network.

Presently, he is one of the Trustees of Hindustan Medical Trust of B M Birla Group and constantly connected with many educational, business and social organisations. In today’s ceremony, Lion Heera Agarwal introduced him in a befitting manner. Speaking during the occasion, Ravi Patwa expressed gratitude to Lion Club of Silchar Ananta.
