Covid +ve patient from Ambicaptty, Silchar dies at SMCH on Monday

April 19: On Monday, one female from Ambicaptty, Silchar died on 19 April. The deceased Bina Rani Paul (94) was admitted in Covid ICU at SMCH on 17 April with history of fever, cough and shortness of breath. The patient was found to have dyslectrolytemia also. She was diagnosed to be suffering from respiratory failure and was put on NIV. She died at 4.45 PM on 19 April. Though Covid positive, but the death was regarded as non-Covid by the Audit Board.
