Leo Club of Karimganj Youth organises 2nd Sanitary Pad Awareness Camp “BOOND”

Oct. 14: Leo Club of Karimganj Youth organized their 2nd Sanitary Pad Awareness Camp entitled “BOOND” on 13 October, 2020 . This project was initiated by Leo Club of Mankachar Greater. They Leo volunteers went to a village near Suprakandi where an awareness camp in menstruation hygiene, illness, proper use and disposal
of pads was held among 40 ladies of the locality. Later on, sanitary napkins were also distributed among them.

Speaking to way2barak, Leo Mayurakhi Bhowmik, Public Relationship Officer of Leo Club of Karimganj Youth said, “We are promise bound to conduct more such campaigns so that awareness could be spread among the people on a gamut of subjects. The project was sponsor by Lion Maitree Dey, member of Lions Club of
Karimganj.”

Leo members present during the awareness camp were Rimu Kr Deb- President, Bithika Choudhury- Secretary, Abhishek Chakroborty- Treasurer, Aparna Dey- Project Chairperson, Srinath Banik, Sohan Biswas, Hira Paul & Anirban Ghosh.
