Learner’s License can now be obtained online in Assam without visiting DTO Office

Sept 2: In a welcome step, Assam Government has now come up with a facility for providing Learner’s License without visiting the DTO office. People can now get the Learner’s License online by taking computerised test sitting at home. Apart from this, even vehicles registered in Assam can now get fitness certificate renewed in any DTO Office of Assam.

It is in this connection that the State Transport Department will be launching ‘Contactless Online Learner’s License Facility & Vehicle Fitness App’ on 3 September, 2021. The new app will be launched by Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma in the presence of Transport Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary at Assam Administrative Staff College, Guwahati. Once this app is launched, the people can take online computerised test for obtaining Learner’s License through it.
