LCSL started Sewing Training School at their adopted village at Chencoorie Tea Garden

December 23: Lions Club of Silchar Lioness (LCSL) has initiated a ‘Sewing Training School’ in their adopted village at ‘Chencoorie Tea Garden’ on Monday. Five Sewing Machines were donated to five needy and poor women of the village.

These five women will be imparted training on sewing by LCSL and gradually after getting trained, they will train the other needy women of their locality. The Chencoorie GP Committee of ‘Youths Against Social Evils (YASE)’ will monitor the ‘Sewing Training School’. The people of the locality expressed gratitude to LCSL for such a noble initiative.

On behalf of LCSL Lion Uma Kar(President), Ipshita Dutta, Shakhi Bhattacharjee, Anjana Dev, Sutapa Choudhury, Arindam Bhattacharjee, Shankar Prasad Choudhury were present and on behalf of YASE, its Central President Sanjeev Roy , Fagun Ruhidas , Amarnath Prajapati, Dip Narayan Hazam and others were present.
