Jyoti’s grand finale of quiz & debate on Sunday afternoon

November 10: Jyoti is now back to rule the hearts and the brains with its 2 flagship events, 15th North East Regional Inter College Invitational Quiz (NERICIQ) and 13th North East Regional Inter College Invitational Debate (NERICID). On 9 November, 2019 began the preliminary rounds of quiz and debate.

NERICIQ & NERICID was innaugurated by Vice President of Jyoti Ravi Patwa by felicitating 5 eminent teachers who has got immense contribution towards in the field of education of this valley. They are Srimanta Dutta, Dr. Saurindra Kumar Bhattacharjee, Purnendu Bhattacharjee, Hitesh Goswami and Roma Bhattacharjee.

The Semi Finalist in NERICIQ are NIT Silchar, SMCH, Cotton University, IIM Shillong, GMCH, National Law University, Tezpur University, Assam University, Royal Global University, Ramanuj Gupta Junior College. The surprise of the day was GC College and St. Edmunds were outsted in the elimination round of the quiz itself.

The Finalist for NERICID (Debate) are National Law University, Assam University, G C College, Dibrugarh University, St. Edmunds Shillong And Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Silchar.

Interestingly, the Class 11 & 12 students of Maharishi Vidya Mandir outsted both NIT Silchar and SMCH from the debate final. The grand finale of the events will begin at 4 PM on Sunday.
