আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে বৃক্ষরোপণ কর্মসূচি ম্যানেজমেন্ট ক্লাবের

ওয়ে টু বরাক, ২১ সেপ্টেম্বর : আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের বাণিজ্য প্রশাসন বিভাগের ম্যানেজমেন্ট ক্লাবের পরিবেশ শাখার উদ্যোগে শনিবার বৃক্ষরোপণ কর্মসূচি পালন করা হয়। বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় চত্বরে পরিবেশগত ভারসাম্য ও পরিবেশগত সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধির লক্ষ্যেই এদিন এই কর্মসূচি হাতে নেওয়া হয়।

এদিন সকাল থেকেই প্রায় ৭০ জন প্রথম সেমিস্টারের শিক্ষার্থী ১০০টিরও বেশি বিভিন্ন গাছের চারা রোপণ করেন। যার মধ্যে ছিল নিম, আগর, কৃষ্ণচূড়া, রাধাচূড়া ও বকুল গাছ। এই উদ্যোগে গাছের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকার কথাও তুলে ধরা হয়।, উল্লেখ করা হয়, একটি পরিণত গাছ সালোকসংশ্লেষণ প্রক্রিয়ার মাধ্যমে চার জনের জন্য পর্যাপ্ত অক্সিজেন সরবরাহ করে। যার ফলে মানুষের স্বাস্থ্য এবং জীববৈচিত্র্য বজায় থাকে।

অধ্যাপক অমৃতলাল ঘোষ ও ডঃ লুরাই রংমাইয়ের তত্ত্বাবধানে এই কর্মসূচি আয়োজিত হয়। ছাত্র সমন্বয়কারী সোহম চৌধুরী ও অনুরাগ চক্রবর্তী পুরো কার্যক্রম পরিচালনা করেন।

Way2barak, September 21 : A tree plantation program was conducted on Saturday by the Paryabaran Wing of the Management Club, Department of Business Administration, Assam University, with the aim of promoting ecological balance and environmental awareness throughout the campus.

Beginning early in the morning, approximately 70 first-semester students participated in planting more than 100 beneficial trees, including species such as neem, agar, krishnachura, radhachura, and bakul. The initiative highlighted the vital role of trees, noting that a mature tree provides sufficient oxygen for four people through the process of photosynthesis, thereby supporting human health and sustaining biodiversity.

The event was held under the supervision of Professor A L Ghosh and Dr Lurai Rongmei. Student coordinators Soham Chowdhury and Anurag Chakraborty managed the proceedings, ensuring smooth operation and enthusiastic participation across the campus.
