Jhansi Railway Station in UP renamed as Veerangana Lakshmibai Railway Station

Dec. 30: Uttar Pradesh Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday informed that the Jhansi Railway Station has been renamed as  Veerangana Lakshmibai Railway Station. The proposal to change the name of Jhansi station was sent to the Union Home Ministry by the state government three months ago.The divisional railway administration will start the departmental process after receiving formal approval from Ministry of Railways. Earlier, the name of Mughalsarai was changed to Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Railway Station.
