Morphed screenshot of tweet, Himanta asks police to file FIR & investigate

May 11: A whatsapp message started becoming viral in social media since early morning. The tweet, which appears to be a screenshot of State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, wherein it is mentioned that “8 more persons who travelled in the bus from Rajasthan in which the Cachar dist #COVID19+ person travelled, have tested positive.” In a latest tweet on Monday afternoon, Himanta Biswa Sarma took serious note of it and directed the state police to file an FIR and investigate the matter immediately. He tagged the DGP of Assam police in his tweet.

The minister wrote, “I have noted with deep concern an altered / morphed screenshot of my tweet – where the numbers have been changed. Asking @assampolice to immediately file an FIR and investigate @DGPAssamPolice.”

It needs mention here that way2barak has already made a news item in this regard on Monday morning wherein Silchar MP Dr. Rajdeep Roy has confirmed that the tweet which has become viral in social media is morphed and fake.
