Indian team wears black armbands to honour Dr Manmohan Singh

New Delhi, December 27 : In the fourth test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Indian batting once again collapsed before Australian bowling. At stumps on day two of the second day, the visitors were struggling at 164 for 5 in their first innings at Melbourne. Visitors are still trailing by 310 runs. Earlier, the hosts were all out for 474 after resuming their first innings at the overnight score of 311 for 6. Steven Smith scored 140 runs for the hosts. For India, Jaspreet Bumrah took 4 wickets while Ravindra Jadeja bagged 3.

The Indian team was wearing black armbands during play to honour the former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Earlier yesterday, Sam Konstas sparked the home team’s charge with a scintillating 60 runs, marking a dream debut. Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne also contributed with fifties for the hosts. Both the teams have won one match each in the five-match series.
