India reports 4,14,188 new Covid cases, 3,31,507 discharges & 3,915 deaths on Friday

May 7: It was a scary day as India recorded 4,14,188 new coronavirus cases, the highest ever single day rise for any country since the outbreak of the pandemic. Also, 3,915 deaths due to Covid-19 were reported on Friday. However, on the flip side, 3,31,507 Covid patients were discharged after getting cured.

With this, the total number of cases in the country reached 2,14,91,598. The total recovery figure also went up to 1,76,12,351. Further, India recorded a death toll of 2,34,083 Covid patients. At present, there are 36,45,164 active cases in the country. Till Friday, 16,49,73,058 persons were vaccinated in India.
