IMD issues rainfall warning for several states during Durga Puja including Assam

way2barak, Sept.30: A cyclonic circulation is likely to emerge into northeast & adjoining east central Bay of Bengal around 1st October, 2022. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued heavy to very heavy rainfall warning for several states/UTs. Fairly widespread/ widespread light/ moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls & thunderstorm/ lightning very likely over Assam & Meghalaya on 2nd, 3rd & 4th October, 2022.

Heavy rainfall is likely over Odisha, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu & Puducherry on October 1. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over Odisha on October 3. It’s likely over MP, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Sikkim and Odisha on October 4.

01 Oct : ♦ Heavy rainfall at isolated places very likely over Odisha, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal.

02 Oct: ♦ Heavy rainfall at isolated places very likely over Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura.

03 Oct : ♦ Heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places likely over Odisha; heavy rainfall at isolated places likely over Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura.

04 Oct : ♦ Heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places likely over East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and Odisha ; heavy rainfall at isolated places likely over Bihar, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Assam & Meghalaya.
