Holy Cross to start online classes from 16 April, teachers instructed to form WhatsApp group
April 14: Addressing the nation on April 14, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended the lockdown period till 3 May, 2020. All educational institutions will remain shut during this phase of lockdown. Meanwhile, India has crossed the 10,000 mark of coronavirus positive cases. To help prevent the students safety from COVID-19 and at the same time continue with their studies, efforts are on by various educational institutions across the country to initiate online education. The latest to join this list is Holy Cross HS School, Silchar.
In a notice issued to the teachers, the Principal of Holy Cross HS School, Sr. Caron asked them to communicate with their respective students through the WhatsApp group. They were instructed to form WhatsApp group of the students by 15 April. The teachers were asked to prepare atleast one class everyday and record the video for uploading in the website of the school. They were further informed that homework and notes can be given as images in the WhatsApp group.
