Hindu Jagaran Manch lodges FIR against a lady for provocative statements demeaning Hindu Gods in social media
Feb. 12: An FIR was lodged by the Silchar Unit of zHindu Jagaran Manch on Friday at Silchar Sadar Police Station on allegation of posting ‘provocative statements demeaning Hindu Gods and Goddesses’ on both Facebook and Twitter by one Tanzila Anis, a senior employee working with Gaana.com. As per her Facebook Profile, she is the ‘Content Head of the Original & Branded Podcasts at Gaana.’
Expressing his reaction, Debdulal Bhattacharjee, who lodged the FIR said, “This lady has used severely derogatory words against Hindu Gods & Goddesses in her social media accounts. She even celebrated the murder of Rinku Sharma of Delhi who was killed for participating in a donation drive for the construction of Ram Mandir. She in her tweets several times defamed the Hindu Community and Hindu Gods.” The screenshots of her tweets and Facebook posts were also handed over to the police.
A case in this connection has been registered against Tanzila Anis at Silchar Police Station on Friday bearing No. 478/2021 under section 153(A)/ 295(A)/ 507 IPC and R/W Sec.67 of Information Technology Act.
