Himanta visits Kokrajhar & Dhubri; emphasises on testing, quarantine & timely treatment.
June 2: As the number of positive cases are increasing at an alarming pace, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma is leaving no stones unturned to contain the numbers and keep the health sector alert round the clock. The present spike in the numbers is due to the large number of people entering Assam from COVID-19 hit states.
On Tuesday afternoon, Himanta Biswa Sarma visited Bilasipara Sub Divisional Civil Hospital in Dhubri & interacted with doctors on COVID-19 situation. The minister also held a meeting with the district administration of Dhubri and advised them to use all caution without causing any inconvenience to people.
As May has seen a sudden spike in coronavirus cases in Assam, it also meant stepping up the state’s resources & preparedness. At a meeting with Kokrajhar district administration, the minister emphasized on the need for testing, quarantining & timely treatment. Assam MP Biswajit Daimary and other MLA’s of the district were also present with the minister.
