Heroine seized in Ramnagar By-pass, 2 arrested

way2barak, 15 April : On the basis of reliable information regarding smuggling of Narcotric Substance, On 13-4-2026 at 11.20 pm, an operation was conducted nearby Ramnagar by-pass, under Silchar P.S and intercepted an eco van coming from Churachandpur, Manipur towards Silchar  and two persons were apprehended.

Police informs that they’re Thangboi S/O Kamneu and Tongsat Singson S/O Thangtinlal Singson . Both are of Khongjang, Thanlon Dist- Churachandpur, Manipur. Upon search total 24 nos. soap cases (net weight 290 grams) containing suspected to be Heroin & two Mobile handset were recovered from their possession, which were duly seized as per procedure of NDPS Act. The Drug detection kit showed positive result for Heroine.

The value of seized article in black market worth Rs. 1.5 Cr . Further Legal action is being initiated, says ASP Cachar.
