Hemant Soren administered oath by Governor Droupadi Murmu
December 29: harkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) working president Hemant Soren was sworn-in as the 11th Chief Minister of Jharkhand. On Sinday, Hemant Soren was administered oathof office and secrecy by Governor Droupadi Murmu.
Apart from Hemant Soren, Congress Legislature Party Leader Alamgir Alam, state Congress president Rameshwar Oraon and RJD MLA Satyanand Bhokta were also sworn in as state cabinet ministers at Sunday’s event.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, the DMK’s MK Stalin, Nationalist Congress Party’s Supriya Sule, RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav and Aam Aadmi Party’s Sanjay Singh, West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot were among those present at the ceremony in Ranchi’s Morabadi area.
JMM fought the Assembly elections in alliance with the Congress party and Lalu Prasad’s Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) and got a comfortable majority with forty-seven seats in the 81-member house.
