Head on collision near MCD College Sonai kills a youth

Dec. 12: A youth lost his life in a head on collision of motorbikes in the PWD road near MCD College, Sonai. The accident took place at around 9.20 AM on Saturday. Locals identified the deceased as Iqbal Hussain Mazumder.

As per sources, on Saturday morning, Iqbal Hussain Mazumder was coming on his motorcycle along with his brother Jaipur Haque. They were on their way to Sonai Bazar. All of a sudden, there was a sudden head on collision with another motorcycle. As a result, both the two brothers fell down on the road.

Immediately people rushed to the spot and arranged to send the two boys to Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH). However, one of them, Iqbal Hussain Mazumder, aged around 20 died on the way to SMCH. The other boy also sustained injuries. Meanwhile, the other youth on the bike who met with the accident is Mangi Singh. Further details about this accident could be known after investigation by the police.
