Hailakandi records 2 fresh COVID-19 cases, district count now 245
There are currently 127 active cases in Hailakandi
June 26: Two more fresh COVID-19 novel coronavirus cases have been detected in Hailakandi on Friday, taking the total tally to 245. Health authorities here disclosed that Miton Roy, 23, and Burhanuddin Sehk, 23, under institutional quarantine facility have tested positive. Of the two COVID-19 infected, one was under quarantine centre at Model School, Aloicherra while another at JNV quarantine centre.
On Thursday, two persons Rafique Ahmed, 25, under institutional quarantine facility at Polytechnic Institute and Safiya Begum Laskar, 20, under home quarantine at Samarikona, turned out to be positive. 116 patients have been discharged from civil hospital in Hailakandi, SMC&H, Silchar and Guwahati Medical College and Hospital. There are currently 127 active cases.
42 patients are admitted at SK Roy designated COVID-19 Hospital, 35 at MG Model Hospital, 16 at SMC&H, 33 at Algapur Model Hospital and one at GMC&H. Two COVID-19 positive patients viz., Mangoli Rani Das, 53, and Foijul Haque Barbhuiya, 65, breathed their last at SMC&H.
Of the 7,112 swab samples taken, 5,681 turned out to be negative, as per health bulletin released on Friday evening. 871 swab results are awaited. Altogether 1,140 persons are under facility quarantine centre and 3,402 under home quarantine.
