Eco-tourism in Barak valley : five days workshop in Assam University

way2barak, Dec 4: Five days Workshop on Ecotourism in Barak valley from 4-8 Dec organized by the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Assam University. The programme is supported by Indian council of Social Science Research, New Delhi.
Inaugural lecture was delivered by Prof Rajeev Mohan Panth, the Vice Chancellor of the University. Others who delivered lecture were Prof. Ramananda Singh, Dean, School of Management Studies,  Prof. Prajit Palit, the CEO, Prof. M. Dutta Choudhury, Dean, School of Life Sciences.

Invited guests were Manas Takhur, AGM Tourism Dept, Govt of Assam and  Vivekanda Mohanta, writer of the book ‘Chorgula Exodus’. Welcome address was delivered by Dr. Soumendra Nath Biswas, HoD. The ways and means of promoting Tourism Development in Barak valley was mainly discussed in inaugural session today.
