Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha of Silchar donates ₹25,000 to Assam Arogya Nidhi

May 17: The outbreak of coronavirus pandemic followed by nationwide lockdown has brought the economy to a standstill. It is at this critical juncture that individuals, organisations, business houses, institutions all have come forward to bail out the nation and help in the fight against coronavirus. Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha of Silchar also joined hands in nation building by providing financial help to the state government.

Amidst the ongoing pandemic, committee members of the Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Silchar met Silchar MP Dr. Rajdeep Roy at his residence and handed over a cheque of Rs. 25,000 to Assam Arogya Nidhi fund. Dr. Roy also expressed gratitude on behalf of the state government to the donors.

It needs mention here that Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha has also organised langar and distributed cooked food and also grocery items during the lockdown to the poor and needy persons of Silchar.
