GS Roy Birth Centenary Celebration Committee distributes study materials among children of ‘Ujjivan’

January 02: ‘Late Gauri Shankar Roy Birth Centenary Celebration Commitee’ donated study materials, such as, pencils, pens, erasers, sketch pens, copies along with fruits and cakes among the children of ‘Ujjivan’, an organisation of Silchar comprising of autistic children. A total of 40 such children are there in the centre which conducts multipurpose training to the ‘autistic children’ of the society. The materials were handed over to the authority of ‘Ujjivan.’

It is the sixth consecutive monthly project of the Centenary Celebration Commitee since 12 July, 2019.  The one year long ‘Mega Event’ will conclude on 12 July, 2020. Late Gauri Shankar Roy was a renowned freedom fighter, trade union leader and four times MLA from Katlicherra Constituency of Assam.

Present during the study material’s donation ceremony were Nilima Bhattacharjee, Rajendra Roy, Sikha Mitra , Sanjeev Roy, Sangita Choudhury, Nanda Roy, Ranjana Nath, Bandita Trivedi Roy and Sonali Paul.
