General meeting of International Human Rights Council, Cachar District Board held in Silchar

Sept. 23: A general meeting of International Human Rights Council, Cachar District Board was held on Wednesday in a banquet hall in Silchar. The meeting was presided over by the Council’s Cachar District Board President Sudip Ghosh and was conducted by the General Secretary of the board Anoop Dutta. The Chief Guest of the meeting Dayamay Bardhan, the State President of the Council inaugurated the meeting by lighting the lamp.

In his speech, Dayamay Bardhan touched on the different aspects of the council, working jurisdiction and specially the thirty articles of the council related to human rights. He also displayed different related points by digital projection.The State General Secretary of the Council Arkadeep Bhattacharjee assisted him during the deliberation and the projection. The legal advisor of the District Board Nalinakhya Naug had interacted with the members and clarified different queries related to thirty articles of the Council.

The message of the national founder President of the Council, Sunny Shah was displayed digitally addressing the members of Cachar District Board. The state and the district leaders of the council handed over the I-cards and other organizational tools to the newly appointed district board office bearers .The others who addressed , interacted and suggested in the meeting were – IHRC Cachar board Vice President Devi Prasad Paul, Vice Secretary Lucky Das, Commerce Secretary Partha Sarathi Shome, Public Relation Officer Sabyasachee Rudra Gupta, Joint Secretary Tapash Saha, Youth President Nikita Banik, Youth President of Karimganj Board Sontosh Namasudra, Karimganj Board member Drimsan Mulat, Cachar District members Monichand Singh, Jhumur Dutta, Mausumi Bardhan and Shibam Bardhan. The meeting came to an end by the vote of thanks followed by the national anthem.
