Friday starts with 26 new COVID-19 positive cases in Cachar
July 10: The number of novel coronavirus positive cases are increasing at an alarming rate in Cachar district since the last few days. On Thursday, 40 positive cases were reported from across Cachar district. 26 fresh COVID-19 positive cases were reported from Cachar district in the 1st slot.
Out of the 26 persons who got infected with coronavirus on 10 July, 12 of them are from para military forces and their contacts. They are: Dinesh Ashok Pawn (34) from 68TH BN SSB, Katigorah, Satyendra Kumar (43) from Dalcherra BSF. He came in contact with a CRPF COVID confirmed case. The others are Narayan Ram (27) from SSB Katigorah, Bijendra Sharma (29) from 8TH BN SSB, Katigorah, Jintu Borah (27) from 8TH BN SSB, Katigorah, Anil Basumatary (26) from 8TH BN SSB, Katigorah, Ajit Kumar Nath (41) from 8TH BN SSB, Katigorah, Satyban Das (30) from 8TH BN SSB, Katigorah, Narayan Ram (27) from 8TH BN SSB, Katigorah and Dibyajyoti Bora (29) from 8TH BN SSB, Katigorah. Two other persons, Lalit Kumar (50) and Sikadar Prasad (42) from Dalcherra, Cachar aslo tested positive. Both of them came in contact with a CRPF COVID confirmed case. All of them are asymptomatic in nature.
The other 14 cases reported from Cachar district in the first lot of confirmed cases on 10 July are: Kishan Namasudra (23) from Ambikapur X, Panchgori, Biplob Das (11) from Ambikapur X, Panchgori, Gopal Dutta (40), Makhan Chanda (65), Reshma Begum (17) from Fakirtilla in Bariknagar and Abdul Jalil (17) from Fakirtilla in Bariknagar. They are asymptomatic but came in direct contact with high risk lab confirmed case. All these six patients are also asymptomatic.
Again, Swel Ahmed Majumdar (27) from Berenga Pt-I is an air passenger who travelled to Silchar from Kolkata was also tested positive. Shyamraj Singh (28) from Borkhola and Kaylas Tanti (31) from Dewan Tea Estate are also air passengers. Both of them came from Hyderabad by flight to Silchar. Though both were tested positive, yet they are asymptomatic.
A 18-year-old female Sonam Begum Laksar from Berenga Pt-III also tested positive and is referred to as an ML case. Badrul Haque Barbhuiya (29) from Meherpur tested positive. He was a pre-operative surgery case with no travel history. Another 55-year-old Nikhil Chandra Das from Jayfarpur in Kathal was also corona positive. He is learnt to have been symptomatic and was a case with Influenza Like Illness (ILI). Another person, W. Krishna Mohan Singha (52) from Singuband Pt-1 was also found positive. He too is symptomatic and was a case with Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
