Former teacher, 35-year-old Nisith Pramanik is youngest member of Modi’s new cabinet
July 8: Nitish Pramanik, BJP MP from Cooch Behar in West Bengal at the age of 35 has become the youngest member of Team Narendra Modi’s new cabinet. Thirty five years old Nitish Pramanik took oath as a Minister of State on Wednesday during the cabinet reshuffle. He has been appointed as the Minister of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs and Minister of State in the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. He is serving his 1st term as MP.
The 35-year old Nitish Pramanik holds a BCA degree and has also worked as an Assistant teacher in a primary school. He was a member of TMC before joining BJP in 2019. He is also the 1st Central Minister from Cooch Behar. With Wednesday’s reshuffle, Prime Minister Modi now has 77 ministers, nearly half of whom are new.
