Forest Range Officer of Lakhipur caught red- handed by vigilance cell while taking bribe

Aug. 2: In a sensational incident, the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti- Corruption Department 9f Assam caught red-handed the Forest Range Officer, Lakhipur, Cachar, Debabrata Gogoi. The team of Vigilance & Anti- Corruption laid a trap and as such, Gogoi was caught along with the money.

Immediately, Ranger Debabrata tried to run away along with bribe money. The officials of the Anti- Corruption Department also ran after him and was finally successful at nabbing Gogoi after running at a distance of about 1 km from Range Office. He has been now taken into their custody.
