Farewell meet organised at the Regional office of Information & Public Relations, Silchar

November 27: A farewell meeting was held at the Regional Office of Information and Public Relations, Silchar on Friday. Deputy Director, Regional Office of Information and Public Relations Barak Valley Zone, Indrani Goswami presided over the meeting organised by the staff of office at the chamber of Deputy Director of Information and public relations.

At the outset, Deputy Director Indrani Goswami greeted outgoing staff Manager cum producer, Nipu Sharma and Staff artist Dilip Sinha of Cultural wing of Regional office of information & public relations, Barak valley zone with a “uttorio” and a handed over them a gift as a token of appreciation. It is pertinent to mention here that Nipu Sharma retired from his service on August 31, 2020 and Dilip Sinha retired from his service on December 31, 2019.

Speaking on the occasion, Indrani Goswami, Deputy Director, Regional Office, Public Relations expressed regret over the delay in organizing the farewell meeting due to some unavoidable circumstances. She said, “I took over as Deputy Director of Barak Valley in Silchar in July 2018 and since then, I worked with them. I personally thank both outgoing staff Nipu Sharma and Dilip Sinha, cultural wing for their untiring efforts and assistance in my work.”  She wished both of them prosperity and good health in their retired life.

While delivering his speech, outgoing staff artist, Dilip Sinha said that he joined the Information and Public Relations Department Silchar from Guwahati office in the year 1987 and since then he has participated in various government events organized by District Administration Cachar. He also talked about his personal experience as an cultural artist in this department. Outgoing Manager cum producer Nipu Sharma also mentioned his experience as an artist in the cultural wing of public relations department. He said working as a staff artist, he never showed his unwillingness to perform other duties whichever allotted to him in any circumstances.

UD Assistant of office, Pradipta Deb and Prabal Deb of Regional Office of the Information and Public Relations Department also spoke on this occasion.
