Executive Magistrates deputed in Cachar in view of ensuing Duga Puja

Oct. 8: For ensuring smooth and peaceful celebration of ensuing ‘Duga Puja & Lakhsmi Puja Festival’, Cachar District Administration has beefed up security arrangements.

The Administration has deputed Executive Magistrates to look after law and order and other arrangements for immersion of idols in the areas under Cachar District with effect from 12 October to 20 October. In an order issued to this effect on Friday, the Administration has deputed Jituraj Gogoi, Circle Officer, Silchar Revenue Circle & Executive Magistrate (Mobile No 9101702719) and Himashri Deka, Assistant Commissioner, Silchar & Executive Magistrate ( Mobile No 7664087533) to look after areas under Silchar town.

Kishan Chorei Tripura , Assistant Commissioner , Cachar & Executive Magistrate with mobile number 7002593234 will look after areas under Silchar P.S except Silchar town. Dr Dipankar Nath, Circle Officer ,Sonai & Executive Magistrate with mobile number 9707389639 will look after areas under Sonai and Kachudaram police station.

Bikash Chetri , Circle Officer (A) Sonai & Executive Magistrate with mobile number 6900103331,9365022573 will look after the areas under Dholai police station. Kaveri Rongpipi , Circle Officer , Katigorah revenue circle & Executive Magistrate with mobile number 9085152373 will look after Katigorah police station areas.

Aditi Nunisa , Circle Officer ,I/C Udharbandh revenue circle & Executive Magistrate with mobile number 8471812860 will look after Udharbandh police station areas. “The Magistrates will take appropriate steps as they deem fit and proper to deal with law and order situation and they will report directly to the District Magistrate and also Additional District Magistrate I/c Magistracy Branch from time to time about the law and order situation in their respective areas,” the order stated. The order further mentioned that the Executive Magistrates will familiarize themselves with their concerned areas, especially as regards the location of the pandals, place of immersion etc well ahead.
