The much-awaited teaser of Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, featuring Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa, has finally arrived—and it promises a storm of love, heartbreak, and longing. The teaser begins with a chance reunion between estranged lovers, before rewinding to the intensity of their whirlwind romance. Just as the wedding bells seem near, fate intervenes, replacing happiness with separation and yearning. Billed as a “musical obsessive romantic drama,” the film dives into the extremes of passion—the euphoria of love and the agony of its collapse. The teaser is charged with raw visuals, heightened emotions, and moments that underline how obsession and heartbreak often walk hand in hand.
First slated for an October 2 release, the makers smartly shifted the date to October 21, placing the film at the heart of Diwali celebrations. It’s a move designed to maximize both its festive impact and box-office reach. Will Rane revive the same emotional energy that made Sanam Teri Kasam a cult favourite?
Directed by Milap Milan Zaveri, who also doubles as editor, the film is co-written with Mushtaq Shaikh. It marks Desi Music Factory head Anshul Garg’s feature-film debut under the Play DMF banner, with Raghav Sharma as co-producer. For Zaveri, this appears to be a passion project, with his signature heightened style written all over it. With 2025 already shaping up to deliver exciting new screen duos, Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa stand out as a pairing to watch. Their chemistry, glimpsed in the teaser, has the potential to add fresh energy to Bollywood’s romantic canvas.
Emotional Depth: The film thrives on passion, heartbreak, and high drama—elements that connect instantly with audiences who crave intensity.
Festive Timing: A Diwali release ensures it will ride the wave of celebratory movie-going.
The teaser for Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has lit up conversations, promising a heady mix of love, obsession, and music-driven storytelling. Whether it emerges as a Diwali blockbuster or gets lost in its own melodrama remains to be seen. But one thing is certain—the film has ensured that all eyes will be on this fiery romance come October 21.
Is Bollywood ready for another tragic, obsessive love saga—or is this one destined to redefine the genre?
